O USO DA INTELIGÊNCIA ARTIFICIAL NA PRÁTICA PEDAGÓGICA

PERCEPÇÕES DE PROFESSORES DA EDUCAÇÃO BÁSICA EM CASTANHAL (PA)

Abstract

Artificial intelligence has been gaining prominence in various sectors of society, including education. The use of AI allows for innovation in teaching and learning methods through the numerous possibilities available on various platforms. Teachers can innovate their classes through content personalization, chatbots, gamification, and many more resources available for all educational levels. Given this, the present study aims to understand how basic education teachers in the state school system are using artificial intelligence in the classroom, considering the challenges and possibilities for more meaningful learning. Therefore, the methodology used in this research is characterized as qualitative, exploratory, and descriptive in nature, with a group of eleven teachers from the public school system in the city of Castanhal, Pará, as informants. After receiving the completed questionnaires, the results were analyzed, showing that most teachers already use artificial intelligence in their pedagogical practices as a facilitator for creating more dynamic content that helps innovate their classes in a more interactive and collaborative way. However, some teachers have expressed apprehension about the use of AI, mainly because students do not yet understand how this resource can improve the teaching and learning process. This research is based on studies by Dora Kaufman, Bartoletti, Silveira and Vieira, and others who have contributed significantly to the investigations into the use of new technologies and artificial intelligence in education. The results of this study demonstrate that public school teachers use artificial intelligence in the development of teaching materials, allowing them to innovate their teaching methodology and making classes more dynamic, interactive, and meaningful.
